This is an original kachina design by Shirley Lehner Rhoades. The turquoise
painted face is encircled by a deep red and cream colored woodburnd design. The
chest of the kachina is gold leafed and painted in a zig zag pattern down the
front in gold, tan, turquoise and cream acrylic paint. Turquoise feathers and
black beads create headdress. Base of gourd is painted with brown leather dyes.
Sealed with a protected coat of matte polyurethane varnish.
